ABOUT

Howdy!  My name is Larry Carden. Licensed Massage Therapist, and Certified Nutritional Consultant.  I was born club footed and had casts on my legs till I was 3.  At ages 5 and 6 I had inguinal hernias with 2 surgeries in my right hip, as a result.   This set the stage for me to be a pretty sickly kid into my teen years.  I started studying martial arts at age 14, and became determined to turn my health around, and not be a scrawny kid anymore.

My mom was a music teacher so I grew up playing music from as young as I can remember.  I play piano as my main instrument and also bass, guitar, drums, and sing.   Playing music from such a young age, I developed highly kinesthetic (tactile) sense with my hands, plus hand strength with finger dexterity.

I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Hotel, Restaurant Management degree.  Mine was the second graduating class in that major.  At the time, that degree was a lot of cooking, and nutrition with some business.  I spent 20 years in the food industry where I learned to cook a wide variety of foods.

I had a wreck on a motorcylce (dirt bike), in about 1991 and landed on my chin.  That has been a pain in the neck ever since!  That was when I learned what a Chiropractor was.

I spent over 10 years in industrial electronics/manufacturing support, after the food serivce indusrty. I was always the "weird guy" at work that ate healthier, and was the in house "body fixer".   I always felt out of my element in that industry and wished I had known what a Chiropractor was when I was younger so I could've been one.  Then in 2004 I got in my mind that what I really  wanted to do was be a factory rep for a nutritional supplement company.  Two weeks after I got that idea in my head, I found a want ad for inside sales at a nutraceutical company.   On June 21st, 2004 I went to work for Dr. Marshall and Dr. Forbes at Healthline, the retail division of Premier Research Labs, that answers phone calls from Dr. Marhsall's radio show.    While there, I was introduced to Quantum Reflex Analysis and Premier Research Labs (PRL).   I applied for a positition as practitioner support for Premeir Research Labs, after being there for six months.  Dr. Marshall decided to put me through a "trial by fire" and took me to a practitioner seminar on Quantum Reflex Analysis (QRA).

Needless to say I fell in love with QRA!  I was teaching docs how to do the grip (Omura's Bi-digital O-ring) when I had just learned how to do it myself.  This was a modality perfectly suited for a kinetic, musically inclined, martial artist, foody dude!  I devoted my life to helping people with my new found love.  I would say that I worked for Dr. Marshall for 9 years, but it wasn't really like work.  I became a Divisional Exectutive, handling a five state territory.  I attended and gave LOTS of seminars, study sessions, and even a few webinars.  I started the first food service out of the cafe in the new facility when we moved.  I even handled all of the Veteranarian accounts.

The thing that I LOVED more than anything else, was working with health care practitioners in their clinics with their toughest patients!  I have worked with just about every type of healthcare practitioner on just about any type of health issue you can imagine, in just about every state in this country.   As much as I loved working at PRL, I longed to have my own practice.   The hours, the travel, the business demands of constant calls on hold, and answering 100's of emails daily, made me long to work one on one with clients.   So after nine years, I left and went massage school with the intent on becoming a Rolfing Naturopath.  The day I graduated massage school, I started the Advanced Massage program.  There I studied Orthopedic Massage, Zero Balancing (a skeletal/structural balalncing modality), Cranial Sacral, and Shiatsu massage techniques.  I also took a class in myofacial release.  That class with all the different modalities transformed me from a massage therapist to a "Bodyworker"!   I found that true "bodywork" helped my neck more than anything I had done to date.

Today I still don't "work" for a living!  I spend my days with my wonderful clients helping them find the health and life that they deserve.  No matter what state of health you are in or want to be in, the answer is always the same.   Upregulate the body's detox organs and capacity, and the body will take  care of itself!

Whether you have an achy back or suffer from a debilitating illness, come to TX TLC Therapy and Wellness.  Become one of our cherished clients and take charge of your health!

Sincerely,

Larry Carden CNC,LMT
